New bug in gpac as of 0.4.4-r1 (previous versions of gpac from portage were working fine) when encoding flv files with MP4Box for a 5G Video Ipod. Trying to encode results in a big messy crash (output given below). Supposedly this is fixed in gpac CVS: see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gpac/+bug/135071 but I haven't been able to successfully build the source from CVS, for reasons that I didn't want to take hours to decipher. The ebuild for 0.4.4-r1 obviously built fine, however. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Get the podencoder script from http://podencoder.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/podencoder 2. Set the execute bit and run ./podencoder test.flv where test.flv is your favorite flv file. 3. Watch the fireworks. Actual Results: (Crash log attached) Expected Results: Was expecting the podencoder script to successfully encode the video into an mp4. I've just attached the output of an attempt to do something similar with an mpg file.
Created attachment 179608 [details] Test case using MP4Box on an mpg file
Individual program crash with no detrimental effect on system stability, downgrading severity to 'normal'.
Then it's supposedly fixed in 0.4.5 (-r1). If you can still reproduce, reopen.
