Description Johan Verrept 2009-01-23 17:16:00 UTC
On amd64, with ldap enabled, it dies with the following error:

configure: error: libldap (OpenLDAP) 32-bit development files not found, LDAP won't be supported.
This is an error since --with-ldap was requested.

emerge:

[ebuild R ] app-emulation/wine-1.1.13 USE="X alsa gecko jpeg lcms ldap ncurses opengl oss png ssl xml -cups (-dbus) -esd (-gnutls) (-hal) -jack (-nas) -samba (-scanner) -win64"

Reproducible: Always

patch to remove ldap dependency on amd64

This removes dependency on and use of ldap use flag on amd64
Comment 2 Johan Verrept 2009-01-23 17:19:00 UTC
I should have mentioned: it's possible there are workarounds for this, except dropping ldap support. From what I can tell, it did not appear before because there was no explicit --without-ldap in the configure so this should not actually change anything.

patch to remove ldap dependency on amd64

This is no good - amd64 should package.use.mask "app-emulation/wine ldap" instead.
Comment 4 Waldo 2009-01-24 06:07:56 UTC
I'd never heard of package.use.mask but I added

app-emulation/wine -ldap

to package.use and just to be safe package.use.mask

and it worked! :)

Comment 5 Johan Verrept 2009-01-24 11:31:52 UTC
That would keep the change to amd64 only? Seems cleaner. No idea how to do it though.
Comment 6 Christoph Mende (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-01-24 11:53:54 UTC
this is how you do it:
+ 24 Jan 2009; Christoph Mende <angelos@gentoo.org> package.use.mask:
+ Added LDAP to wine's USE mask (bug 256105)
Comment 7 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2009-01-24 12:08:06 UTC
This bug should depend in 255467 , then, when bug 255467 were fixed, ldap could be unmasked again
Comment 8 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2009-01-24 15:04:13 UTC
that isnt a fix, that's ignoring the real issue in Bug 255467
Comment 9 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2009-01-24 15:04:19 UTC
