Description Erik 2009-01-22 19:20:11 UTC
Changing the paragraph style of a table cell in OpenOffice Writer app-office/openoffice-3.0.0) sometimes also affects a previously selected neighbour cell.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached table_bugs.odt. It has a main grid (and some of the cells
are divided into smaller cells).
2. Hold the mouse cursor over the table cell Tabell1:D7, with the letter 'A'
(but stay away from the embedded arrow graphich).
3. Press the left mouse button to select the cell. It will not be immediately
selected, so the mouse has to be moved, for example to the cell above, with the
text "hej". Then both cells will be selected. Move the mouse cursor back to the
cell with the 'A'. Now that cell (only) is selected, as intended.
4. Release the left mouse button. Now we are done selecting the cell.
5. Go to the paragraph template dropdown in the toolbar (where "Fråga" is
currently selected). Change it to "Bokstav".
Actual Results:
Now it changes the format template of the 'A' cell to "Bokstav" as expected,
but unfortunately it sometimes also changes the format template of the cell
above (with the word "hej"). It does not happen always. If it does not happen,
undo and try again. It does not usually take many tries to trigger it. In most cases it happens on the second try after opening the document (but seemingly never on the first try).

Expected Results:
Only the currently selected cell is affected by the change.

Upstream says that it does not happen with their build.

"Upstream says that it does not happen with their build."

Which upstream? Novells go-oo or the vanilla Sun-builds on openoffice.org?

Follow the URL.

do you still get that with 3.1.1?

Could you please file this report at

https://bugzilla.novell.com

which is the upstream for ooo-build-related bugs (and post the link here)

The upstream bug seems to be still open, nonetheless: Could someone please check if it still happens for them?

This is still valid

Well there is not much help from gentoo here.

I have no clue what to do with it, so just closing, it to reduce clutter, as upstream. :-)
