Currently stable versions of sys-kernel/tuxonice-sources is too old. What do you think about stabilization of sys-kernel/tuxonice-sources-2.6.27-r9? If you agree please CC archs. Thank you in advance.
I'm planning on requesting stable for following versions: * 2.6.24-r10 * 2.6.25-r8 * 2.6.26-r4 * 2.6.27-r9 * 2.6.28-r1 (or newer revisions if new genpatches arrive before that) The plan is to make the request during first week of February, as all those versions contain latest version of TuxOnIce patch.
that'd be great. looking forward to it. :-)
there seems to be more to it. manually unmasking =sys-kernel/tuxonice-sources-2.6.26-r4 requires unmasking of =sys-apps/tuxonice-userui-0.7.3 and =sys-power/hibernate-script-1.99 as well (~x86). I'm testing this setup now. 2.6.24 was getting a bit too old nowadays...
Please test and stabilize following packages: * =sys-kernel/tuxonice-sources-2.6.28-r3 * sys-apps/tuxonice-userui-0.7.3 * sys-power/hibernate-script-1.99-r1 Testing: try to suspend to ram and disk.
I'd like to have genpatches 2.6.28-4 stabilized, removing arches for now.
are there still issues with 2.6.28 ? or is there another reason why it hasn't been stabilised as yet ?
Krzysiek could you please tell us why this bug is WONTFIX? Currently stable version of this kernel is ages old and users need something newer. Another solution will be drop any stable keywords and thus move this kernels to ~arch only.
Of course -- I should mention this -- there's bug 267768 which aims to stabilize newer versions of packages from this bug.
