Title says it all: As far as I can see - at least - recent versions of x11-misc/alacarte dont need the dependency on libgnome-python. Neither does configure check for it nor is jhbuild listing libgnome-python as a dep for it.

Hope I'm not missing something ;)

hum so how do you explain the import gnome and import gnome.ui ?

the new dependency is just the split version of gnome-python btw which is in 0.11.5 and 0.11.6.

Sorry, I thought I looked everywhere, but obviously I missed the import gnome.ui in MainWindow.py. Would be so much easier if people would have the correct dependencies in configure...

Reopening, libgnome-usage has been removed in 0.11.9, see this bug for reference:
