here is a patch to add selinux awareness to portage
also, portage ebuild should have selinux? ( dev-python/python-selinux )

I think there is a typo in the 3rd chunk for portage.py.
You moved a conditional for didcopy into the exception block.
Please verify that and explain why if it's correct.

Seems to be missing the dependancy on python-selinux
