Description Hans Cats 2003-07-29 15:26:15 UTC
Here is an ebuild for the catdoc program.

catdoc is program which reads one or more Microsoft word files and outputs text,
contained insinde them to standard output. Therefore it does same work for .doc
files, as unix cat command for plain ASCII files.

we have antiword in portage, which to me looks like a very similar program. could you please try antiword, and report advantages/disadvantages that catdoc has over that application ? thanks.
Comment 4 Hans Cats 2003-09-12 09:36:49 UTC
antiword is better now, there is no need of this application.
