Description Tim Haynes (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-07-29 04:53:00 UTC
Attempts to get an rsync connection to 80.132.127.119 are simply timing-out

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. run rsync 80.132.127.119::
2.
3.

Actual Results:
timeout

Expected Results:
a nice list of modules on the server including gentoo-portage stuff

this bug is more or less for tracking than anything else

I'm seeing a different IP for rsync1.de (217.81.209.16). Is there any
more info on this?

That's what's in DNS at the moment, but I'm also experiencing a timeout attempting to get through to its rsync port.

I think we need to drop a mail to Flo Spiegel and ask what's happening...

rsync1.de is now available to the next ".de" rsync server coming online.
