Could you post the output of 'emerge --info' and the file /var/tmp/portage/gnome-base/gnome-panel-2.24.2-r1/work/gnome-panel-2.24.2/gnome-panel/panel-applet-frame.c ?

there is no instruction that could trigger the error we can see in your log. It could be bonobo macro expansion maybe so please try to rebuild libbonobo and libbonoboui before trying to build gnome-panel again.
Comment 5 Jacek Trubłajewicz 2009-01-21 01:22:43 UTC
I can confirm the same problem in here, but after following Gilles advice and doing upgrade:

[ebuild U ] gnome-base/libbonobo-2.24.0 [2.20.1] USE="-debug -doc" 1,422 kB
[ebuild U ] gnome-base/libbonoboui-2.22.0 [2.20.0] USE="X* -debug -doc" 983 kB

gnome-panel builds without errors.
Thanks Gilles.
Comment 6 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-02-01 11:01:51 UTC
I haven't been able to reproduce this error bug I could only downgrade to libbonobo-2.20.4 which had fixes for newer glib iirc. So I'll up this dep but otherwise, closing fixed. Thanks for reporting.
