Description Xitij Ritesh Patel 2009-01-13 16:14:19 UTC
Was trying to emerge app-text/texlive-2008. Had to unmask several packages using package.keywords, including dev-tex/mplib. It seems to compile just fine, but fails during the src_install phase of emerge with the following error:

mkdir .libs/mplib.lax/libmplib.a

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Unmask dev-tex/mplib
2. Emerge dev-tex/mplib
3.

weird; can you attach the full build log and the output of: ls -lh /usr/lib/libkpathsea* ?
Comment 2 John Koutras 2009-01-14 14:17:41 UTC
I was having the same problem until I upgraded dev-tex/luatex to 0.30.3 and then upgraded dev-tex/mplib

Funny thing I had to type "paludis -i1 dev-tex/mplib" (I am using paludis) to install luatex before mplib ("paludis -i1 dev-tex/luatex" required mplib to be installed first)

Comment 4 Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-05-15 09:21:19 UTC
JFI: I had same problem. That was on scratched system, as I had to move time months back there and some applications failed to build due to headers having mtime somewhere in the future. After I changed mtime for glibc/gcc (with `qfile gcc | xargs -n1 touch`) and rebuild texlive-core this package compiles fine. Thus I think this error is cased by some local non-safe changes.
