Description billy hyatt 2003-07-28 17:02:42 UTC
Onboard video of Shuttle sv-25 is detected as AGP, which is automatically set up
as the card to use. However i have an ati radeon 9000 pci card in the box
because it has 1 pci slot.. that radeon is set to be the primary card, and Xfree
decides to load the drivers for it.. It trys to load the drivers for the ATI
card on the onboard AGP crappy video

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get shuttle sv25, disable onboard video
2. pop in PCI video card, set init primary display pci slot
3. boot from live cd and watch it crash and burn

Actual Results:
errors, and fatal server crash, signal 11

Expected Results:
gentoo to install :)

error taken from XFree86.0.log
(EE) fglrx(0): board is third party board
(EE) fglrx(0): [agp] unable to acquire AGP, error "xf86_ENODEV"
(EE) fglrx(0): cannot init AGP

*** If unresolved symbols were reported above, they might not
*** be the reason for the server aborting.

Fatal server error:
Caught signal 11. Server aborting
