since 2008-01-07 my nightly cronjob of demerge reports warnings:
Unsuccessful stat on filename containing newline at /usr/bin/demerge line 896.
Unsuccessful stat on filename containing newline at /usr/bin/demerge line 899.
Unsuccessful stat on filename containing newline at /usr/bin/demerge line 896.
Unsuccessful stat on filename containing newline at /usr/bin/demerge line 899.

these warnings occur on every start of demerge (regardless of any parameters)

i'm using current stable of demerge (0.046).
some investigation shows that the day before 2008-01-07 i've upgraded portageXS to the latest stable version (0.02.07 to 0.02.09) which may have introduced this bug.

FYI: on _another_ system the combination of demerge version 0.047 using PortageXS-0.02.09 works without warnings.

Right. It's fixed in demerge 0.047 / PortageXS 0.02.09.

then please mark demerge 0.047 stable.
