openafs-server init script assumes a fixed pid of the bosserver. However, the bosserver is usually auto-restarted every week (Sunday morning) and the pid changes. With the openrc-0.4.1-r1, the openafs-server is reported as crashed when this happens even if everything works ok. This problem was always present, just obscured with baselayout-1. The openafs-server init script cannot restart the bosserver properly after a week. Some manual intervention is needed.

I would propose disabling the auto-restart in the default installation. Does this seems like a good solution to you?
