According the author's webpage [1], sys-process/schedutils is included now (since 2001) in sys-apps/util-linux. Because of this, every util-linux ebuild in the can't be installed if schedutils is installed too, so schedutils is a bit useless. BTW, the same happened with setarch, but it was removed from the tree. However, the ebuild still has "!sys-apps/setarch" in RDEPEND. Reproducible: Always
[1] http://rlove.org/ Sorry, I forgot that.
please check the exact version number of util-linux that includes the schedutils programs.
Is included in every util-linux-ng version, that is, every new version since 2.13*
@base-system: Both schedutils and util-linux block each other. So, can you just remove schedutils like what happened with setarch? no rush.
if someone else wants to before i do, feel free
(In reply to comment #5) > if someone else wants to before i do, feel free > Ok, masked for now. I don't care if it gets removed before the 30 days. # Jeremy Olexa <darkside@gentoo.org> (19 Jan 2009) # Removed by treecleaners in 30 days. No use for this, included in util-linux # bug 254329 sys-process/schedutils
gone, fixed
