Since about 23:00 yesterday (UTC), connection attempts to rsync.us.g.o:873 time out. They have been doing so for nine hours now.

Yeah, seems like the box, albatross is down. Sending email to them now.

Seems to be resolved now, waiting for update from fox2mike on actual details.

looks like the box is down again?

rsync: failed to connect to rsync1.us.gentoo.org: Connection timed out (110)

Last succesful sync was about 11 hours ago.
