Description Gabriel Máculus 2009-01-07 05:46:24 UTC
Total: 38 packages (38 new), Size of downloads: 43,619 kB

!!! Multiple package instances within a single package slot have been pulled
!!! into the dependency graph, resulting in a slot conflict:

dev-dotnet/gtk-sharp:2

  ('ebuild', '/', 'dev-dotnet/gtk-sharp-2.10.0', 'merge') pulled in by
    =dev-dotnet/gtk-sharp-2.10* required by ('ebuild', '/', 'dev-dotnet/gconf-sharp-2.16.0', 'merge')
    =dev-dotnet/gtk-sharp-2.10* required by ('ebuild', '/', 'dev-dotnet/glade-sharp-2.10.0', 'merge')
    =dev-dotnet/gtk-sharp-2.10* required by ('ebuild', '/', 'dev-dotnet/art-sharp-2.16.0', 'merge')
    (and 3 more)

  ('ebuild', '/', 'dev-dotnet/gtk-sharp-2.12.7-r5', 'merge') pulled in by
    >=dev-dotnet/gtk-sharp-2.10.1 required by ('ebuild', '/', 'dev-dotnet/notify-sharp-0.4.0_pre20080912', 'merge')
    >=dev-dotnet/gtk-sharp-2.12 required by ('ebuild', '/', 'media-sound/banshee-1.4.1-r4', 'merge')
    (and 1 more)

It may be possible to solve this problem by using package.mask to
prevent one of those packages from being selected. However, it is also
possible that conflicting dependencies exist such that they are
impossible to satisfy simultaneously. If such a conflict exists in the
dependencies of two different packages, then those packages can not be
installed simultaneously.

For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page
or refer to the Gentoo Handbook.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge -av banshee-1.4.1-r4 (you need unmask)
2.
3.

emerge -C gtk-sharp glade-sharp&&emerge banshee
But that's only if you don't have any other mono packages. The whole of the ~arch mono stack is pretty tied into each other, since it's a long long time since we last got anything stabled.
