gnome-vfs is deprecated, seems that no other package is using gnome-vfs-monikers, also, it has no new releases since years Thanks :-) Reproducible: Always
did it stop building or working yet ?
I don't know as I don't have clear for what is needed :-( There is a better description at http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/svn/gnome/gnome-vfs-monikers.html but I haven't needed it (yet...)
well I though I had it installed on one of my box but apparently I was mistaken. It has probably been unused for at least since 2.18 so I have no strong feelings about its removal.
I've never heard of anyone using that package FWIW...
gnome-vfs used it at one point, at least, since I remember having to add it to the overlay to get gnome-vfs to build. It apparently doesn't need it anymore, and nothing in the tree needs it. I've masked it for removal.
To my knowledge it was simply a split-out of gnome-vfs to get gnome-vfs not depend on bonobo anymore. So it provides the bonobo "monikers" that use to be provided by gnome-vfs itself, but as bonobo is deprecated and nothing modern really used those gnome-vfs bonobo monikers, it was split into a separate package to not have most things pull in bonobo stuff through gnome-vfs. Well, something like that. Anyway, adding PMASKED keyword too.
