[ ok ] telinit: /dev/initctl: No such file or directory ... but thte UML starts and runs fine. Reproducible: Always

The other however still remains (I ree-emerged glibc also at the host), isn't it ?
Please post the `emerge --info' for the chrooted environment.

ive sent the output of telinit to /dev/null, but the ld.so.conf file is something you need to fix. your system should have one which portage generates automatically.
