Hi, I'm emerge ing kde-meta on a system that hasn't had kde on it since 3.5a dn it fails at kstars.
Looks to be a sandbox problem as copying the files to their final desination and linking manually then rerunning the emerge shows the unlink failing rather than the link.

I can concur the same error happens to me during re-emerge of kde.

Ok please try to sync your tree and see if it is fixed. (should be)
Reopen if still is problem after sync
