x11-misc/idesk-0.7.5-r1 crashes after launch in fluxbox-1.0.0, if I unpack sources make ./configure make make install that is writes
Idesk starting in :0.0
[idesk] Background's file not found.
[idesk] Background's source not found.

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0x00007f20627e556f in ?? () from /usr/lib/libImlib2.so.1
Re-emerging of imlib does not help.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge fluxbox
2. emerge idesk
3. idesk

Actual Results:  
Icons draws and vanishes.

USE="-mmx" emerge imlib2 solved this problem.

I can confirm this bug with idesk-0.7.5-r1 and flubox-1.0.0 on AMD64 and the solution from comment #1.

This is the exact same problem that cropped up in 2007 as per this thread:  http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/6367

Perhaps the maintainer for imlib2 should be notified of this bug as well.

I can confirm this Bug on AMD64 too.

USE="-mmx" emerge imlib2 solved this problem.

Not yet. 

Someone please try with >=media-libs/imlib2-1.4.4 that was added to Portage only month ago.
