Not sure if this vendor can even sell these stickers, but I have used them and they are nice. It would be a nice item to add to the store.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to Gentoo Store
2.Look for stickers/badges with Gentoo logo
3.

trustees-

Is this a trademark violation?
Comment 3 Matt Summers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-01-02 23:56:51 UTC
Yes, this is a violation of Gentoo trademark. Added to the list of offending parties. Thanks for the heads up, if anyone sees anymore of these, please let the trustees know about it. Thanks

is this bug now about the trademark violation or about adding new items to the gentoo store?

I found some that are already on cafepress;
http://bumperstickers.cafepress.com/item/sticker-rectangular/174427223

That would be fine but would also need an additional size a little smaller. The common size for a case badge is 0.78" X1.28" (about 2cmX3.2cm). This fits over a windows logo perfectly. The one from the link above that is currently in cafepress is 5" x 3".

Started a Topic on the Gentoo forums [0] asking for suggestions from the community on any items they would like to be able to purchase, also there has been some talk about a t-shirt creation contest.

Well looks like there is a reason only certain products are offered for purchase. I received this reply from cafepress. Reply is attached above.

The question is how would the Gentoo Foundation go about selling them?
Comment 10 Christina Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-03-23 13:15:30 UTC
It was previously discussed whether we should drop cafe press and move to another store front, as it was agreed that Gentoo does not have the means nor desire to run our own store (cost of inventory a strong influencer), and a better store was not found - iirc the other stores had neat stuff but actually higher costs and no one wants to pay more for stuff.

Regarding the Foundation taken on the task to sell pc case stickers separately, I love the idea of case stickers however the mark up would be small to make them sell and thus the Foundation would spend more in resources making the ROI non existent.

Regarding stickers they have, I can work with David on the stickers to see if our current cafe press images will work (if so easy to add) or if they will not work (then we'll need to find someone to help us with generating new images).

Looks like the best option is to find an image with the dimension: 0.78" X1.28" (about 2cmX3.2cm) and put it on one of their 3"x5" stickers and then the badge could be cut as needed. Here is an example. [0] I am going to close this bug as it it is the process of getting worked out.
