libmpeg3-1.5.1 fails to compile for me, but with a different error (this is also with CFLAGS="-O3" or CFLAGS="-O2":

gcc `cat i686/c_flags` -o i686/mpeg3dump mpeg3dump.c i686/libmpeg3.a -lm -lpthread
gcc `cat i686/c_flags` -o i686/mpeg3cat mpeg3cat.c i686/libmpeg3.a -lm -lpthread
gcc `cat i686/c_flags` -o i686/mpeg3toc mpeg3toc.c i686/libmpeg3.a -lm -lpthread
mpeg3toc.c: In function `main':
mpeg3toc.c:200: parse error before `position'
mpeg3toc.c:202: `position' undeclared (first use in this function)
mpeg3toc.c:202: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
mpeg3toc.c:202: for each function it appears in.)
mpeg3toc.c:203: `result' undeclared (first use in this function)

the first bug is related to largefile support not being correctly added ...
i added a patch to cvs to fix that

the second bug is related to gcc-2.x ... i added another patch for that ...
