Emerging sys-apps/usermode-utilities-20070815 does not appear to install the files. Compilation works fine, but the resulting files are not installed (particularly, I was looking for tunctl). This problem is also mentioned at the bottom of bug 251568. It looks like the ebuild is missing the src_install section (but I don't know too much about ebuilds) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.emerge usermode-utilities 2.Try to use a file from the package (eg tunctl) 3.
