Description fiberchunks 2003-07-25 10:22:27 UTC
Evolution, 1.4.x (and perhaps earlier, though I have not tested), fails to
properly display attachments in the bottom pane of the message composer, due to
the gnome-unknown.png icon being in the 'wrong location'.

For example, on my system, the gnome-unknown.png default location is in
/usr/share/icons/gnome/48x48/apps/gnome-unknown.png . Evolution fails to see
this as a valid icon path (for whatever reason).
However, copying the icons in this directory to the appropriate location...i.e.
/usr/share/pixmaps resolves the issue, and attachments are displayed just fine.

I am unsure whether this is strictly an evolution issue, or something to do with
path data with new apps. If you would like any more information, please email.

Regards

sorry this hasn't been looked at, can you say specifically which version of evolution and any more relevant info like "emerge info" ?

the thing is i don't experience that, yet i don't have gnome-unknown.png in /usr/share/pixmaps either.

I am seeing this problem, but only since I upgraded to gnome 2.4. Evolution
version is 1.4.3. It doesn't seem to display any attachments.

this should be in 1.4.5 which i'm currently testing. basically its to do with whether your theme has defined the gnome-unknown.png.

any of you tried the new 1.4.5 to see if this problem is fixed?
