This is here because sys-apps/usermode-utilities depend on sys-fs/fuse, and this no deep for fuse or other tool, only for doc/man. Reproducible: Always
Created attachment 176239 [details] This is the ebuild of tunctl
Created attachment 176241 [details] This a Makefile patch for compile with no documentation
Created attachment 176242 [details] my emerge --info
Created attachment 176370 [details] this is a correctif for ebuild
Created attachment 176372 [details] tunctl-1.5.ebuild I made a better ebuild for it, here it is, better Makefile patch to follow
Created attachment 176373 [details, diff] tunctl-Makefile.patch The new Makefile patch. It add the possibility to change CFLAGS (which has -g by default), it allow to build man separatly, and remove man install from install rule, because we do it with doman instead.
Thanks a lot for fix.
I just came here because I was going to make a patch to sys-apps/usermode-utilities to include a fuse USE flag. I would really like to see this ebuild go through, since it is exactly what I need. I don't want to add fuse support to my kernel.
(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug) Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manor. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us. We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time. Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Jeremy. Installing tunctl to /usr/sbin breaks things since /lib/rcscripts/net/tuntap.sh looks for it in /usr/bin.
tunctl is already in sys-apps/usermode-utilities. Admitted, it's a weird place for it. And its man page is not bundeled.
