Description James Gater 2003-07-23 14:49:39 UTC
Please find attached a diff to upgrade net-p2p/pysoulseek-1.2.2 to
pysoulseek-1.2.3, including the new hyriand patch 10.1.

Just a version bump for the existing ebuild.

Latest hyriand patch is 10.2

well, pysoulseek seems to have stopped development in favour of nicotine, which i believe is probably the work of the people behind hyriand.

it seems that it uses pygtk2 instead of wxpython which is all good because its much better supported. i've bumped pysoulseek to 1.2.4.
Comment 4 Mike 2003-09-20 00:56:44 UTC
I've just noticed that 1.2.4 doesn't seem to pull in the hyriand patch even though emerge -vp pysoulseek shows the '+hyriand' flag ?????
Comment 5 Alastair Tse (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-09-20 04:33:17 UTC
it doesn't because there is no hyriand patch. development has moved on to nicotine written by hyriand.

Would it be possible to remove the 'hyriand' IUSE flag from the 1.2.4 ebuild? There have been a few posts on the forums by people who are confused by it, and there are people who stil like using Pysoulseek instead of Nicotine for the time-being, including me ;)

yep. seems like a good idea to me. thanks, fixed in cvs.
