While I'm aware of the kdesvn overlay, it always seems to depend on a number of (as the name implies) SVN "-9999" package upgrades being pulled in and potential headaches later, even when explicitly asking for a specific beta version release. Any chance a complete collection of the current "official" KDE 4.2 beta and release-candidate versions (currently "4.1.85") might show up in the kdetesting overlay soon? (If I may be forgiven for making this two requests - a similar update to the current beta of digikam would be nice, too...overlay=0.10.0-beta2, current=0.10.0-beta6) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Observe announcements of new KDE 4.2 beta version releases 2.Fail to seem them in kde-testing 3.Begin to try out kdesvn, but stop when all the "-9999" packages are still needed even when explicitly asking for "=kdebase-4.1.85" (for example) 4.Wail, Gnash Teeth, Beat desk with fists in impotent rage. 5.Beg for a favor on bugs.gentoo.org Actual Results: The steps above made me feel very sad, though the last one leaves a small glimmer of hope in my shriveled and jaded heart. Expected Results: kde-4.1.85 packages magically appear in the kde-testing overlay, along with digikam-0.10-beta7 and an unexpected and miraculously ready release-candidate of K3B, the appearance of which shall be announced by the trumpeting of angels, making me so happy that I forget to eat, drink, or bathe for days as I bask in the glow of the KDE 4.2 beta features which have long been denied me. Or at least it will be possible to install KDE 4.2 betas/release-candidates using "released" source without hand-compiling or pulling SVN builds. No, I'm NOT "always like this". Just most of the time.
