requesting and ebuild for bgp software to enhance gentoo in the router area (now it can be an ISP/datacenter router.)

What about Quagga? (http://www.quagga.net)

Zebra has not been updated for a long time. Many features (e.g. MD5 signatures) are available in Quagga.
