Description sphakka 2008-12-14 17:18:04 UTC
When trying to play some ASX playlists kmplayer gives up reporting a warning on the terminal; it doesn't even try to launch mplayer, in fact its console (alt+v+o) is empty.
For instance, kmplayer fails on this playlist

<ASX VERSION="3.0">
<ENTRY>
<REF HREF="mms://212.162.68.231/raisport+?auth=daCarbocGb7a3budpdBbobKcWdVbWdvb3bj-bjrtJo-8-HkvwtFw&aifp=V001"   />
</ENTRY>
</ASX>

but "mplayer -playlist" (or xine, or vlc) has no trouble opening the same playlist and playing its content. The above XML looks invalid indeed:

  $ xmlproc_parse invalid_ASX.xml
  xmlproc version 0.70

  Parsing 'invalid_ASX.xml'
  E:invalid_ASX.xml:3:105: Undeclared entity 'aifp'
  E:invalid_ASX.xml:3:105: ';' expected
  Parse complete, 2 error(s) and 0 warning(s)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. launch kmplayer
2. ctrl+o
3. select an "invalid" playlist

Actual Results:
kmplayer stops and reports on the console

  "WARNING: not well-formed (invalid token)"

Expected Results:
kmplayer parses the playlist and plays its content.

Please familiarise yourself with our Severity field[1]. Also, "blocker" hurts the eyes.

Can you try 0.11.1b? Reopen if you can still reproduce.
