Description Lasse Mikkelsen 2002-05-06 18:52:00 UTC
A simple but functional image viewer/browser - ACD See alike.

The right category for this ebuild may be media-gfx.

Hi, Lasse:

Your ebuild looks great. One question: what's the reason you're removing
/usr/share/locale?
Comment 5 Lasse Mikkelsen 2002-05-14 16:17:14 UTC
Hmm, good question ;)

Just thought that no one would use that chinese locales - but include it if you
will.
Comment 6 Arcady Genkin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-05-15 14:49:06 UTC
Committed. I've loosened up the dependencies a little, assuming that there is
no reason to be so specific abou the versions. If the versions need to be
there, let me know.

Thanks for the submission.
Comment 7 Lasse Mikkelsen 2002-05-15 16:14:30 UTC
Thanks.
Comment 8 Lasse Mikkelsen 2002-05-15 16:18:51 UTC
I can se that you edited the ChangeLog - doesn't I need to submit them?
Comment 9 Arcady Genkin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-05-15 17:49:50 UTC
No, it's great that you sent it, that's very helpful!

The only thing is that I had to change the dates and specify myself as the one
who actually committed the changes to the CVS tree.

I believe I gave you the credit for the ebuild in the ChangeLog, no?
Comment 10 Lasse Mikkelsen 2002-05-15 18:18:46 UTC
I've got me credit ;)

Hopefully my other submitted ebuilds will reach the archives soon also.
Comment 11 Lasse Mikkelsen 2002-05-15 18:23:17 UTC
Is it possible to become a Gentoo developer (ebuild maintainer/contributer)?
Comment 12 Arcady Genkin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-05-15 19:14:21 UTC
Of course it's possible! You've gotta submit some good patches/ebuilds over
some period of time. Basically, we need to know that (a) you've been with the
project for a few months are going to stay, and (b) that your code is good
quality. After that you would probably be approached by someone about write CVS
access; if not, you can make your case in a private message to drobbins@gentoo.org.

The fastest way to become a developer is to submit some good work, be it bug
fixes, documentation updates/fixes, ebuilds, whatever.
