The CD (Live CD, Gentoo 2008.0 Beta2, AMD64) boots anr runs, working, X also... but when using the installers (both the GTK GUI, or the semi-graphical, text isntallers...) when it begins to copy the first stage tarball (the message 1/1) it invariably crashss, close and reboot comp.... Ever and all times. The installation of Gentoo is this AMD Atlhon X2, 64 bits,was until now not possible Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Burn and make the LiveCD, Gentoo 2008, Beta 2, boot from it, change language to pt-BR, begin session, XFCE, navigate, work, send mail etc.. resuming using Live CD. 2. Try to install Gentoo, from the icons (GTK or text) ou from terminal, command installer... 3. sometimes during partitioning, but many times during copy od the first tarball, system crashes, comp close and reboot and a net session oo Gentoo begins, without continue to install Actual Results: all times that i tested, all times reproduced... the comp have 4 giga of ram, more tahn sufficient. live disc works well Expected Results: Normal regular installation of the system. In the live CD, all works, all packages, internet, messenger, video board, Portage etc...
ERRATA.. When you see :"reboot and a net session oo Gentoo" , please read: "reboot and a new session of Gentoo...."
