I have KDE 4.1.82 installed from the kde-crazy overlay and yakuake causes blocks because all of it's dependencies are for KDE components in SLOT 4.1 and all of my KDE components are in SLOT 4.2. There is no good reason that yakuake should require only 4.1 and not 4.1 and above. In the current ebuild it uses slots for all the KDE dependencies. Do SLOTS have to be specified as just a specific version or can they be specified as a minimum like package versions (i.e. >=4.1)? I know that I'm using the kde-crazy overlay, but this is something that should be fixed before KDE 4.2 hits the main tree in January. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install KDE:4.2 from kde-crazy overlay 2. Run "emerge -pvt yakuake" 3. Get package blocks because yakuake tries to pull in the old version of KDE.
