Currently app-mobilephone/gnokii depends on:
postgres? ( >=dev-db/postgresql-server-8.0 )
postgres USE flag enables PostgreSQL database backend for smsd.
As smsd needs only libpq connector library and remote database server may be utilized, postgres USE flag imho should not force users to install whole database server on their computers. And those who are using it, they probably will know what to do to install and set up postgresql database server for their own.
