This is a specific request for infra. We need it so that we can safely call python-updater from cfengine, without being massively spammed.

We have a small script 'filteremerge' that we call in PLACE in of emerge. It performs logging of the normal emerge output and sending a subset of the output to stdout for emailing by cfengine.

Could you please include this patch in the Portage tree ASAP.

[07:32] <alip> robbat2|na: i'm on devaway right now, you can, however, revbump python-updater adding the patch.

Committed in 0.6-r1, and as r134 of SVN.
