I once used x0rfbserver, as included in gentoo in the net-misc/rfb package. This seems to have disappeared from upstream (none of the various URLs for the project answer and the freshmeat entry is gone). If there is someway to save this or otherwise not have it cleaned out of /distutils, you'd better do so because I've got a feeling the upstream are either gone, acquired, or they close sourced it. umm i'm not quite sure what you want to be done about it ... their upstream URL has been gone for quite sometime ... the website is up in portions ... ive been adding small patches myself to increase functionality but havent spent time tracking down some more of the critical bugs ;) dont worry about the src going away, i have copies of the original and it should remain on the Gentoo mirrors (if not ill redirect to my website)
