Description Jesús P Rey (Chuso) 2003-07-20 18:37:33 UTC
If output-meta (needed to see non-ASCII characters when typing them) and bash-completion are activated in a login shell (it won't happen with subshells) it will logout if you try to delete a character next to a non-ASCII character.

For example, if you type "a

For example, if you type "aña" (ñ=alt+241) and then try to delete de first "a" it will logout.

is this still an issue ?
Comment 3 Christian Birchinger (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-09-12 07:35:23 UTC
I can reproduce it but i have no clue how to fix it. I'm no expert on bash-completion. I only bump versions from time to time because no one else did.

Here with Eterm 0.9.2 + bash 2.05b-r7 + bash-completion 20031112 it doesn't
have this problem anymore. I guess some update fixed it.

Works here. No complains during the last week. Closing the bug.
