Typical... when I sat down to have a look at the compilation errors, I got different ones and not the fileio.cpp one! This time I just got some trivial "EXIT_FAILURE undeclared" errors in pangofont_wcl.cpp, similar to libghemical. The difference between now and last night is that now I have upgraded libghemical from 2.96 to 2.98, so it may be the case that ghemical-2.98 needs to explicitly depend on libghemical-2.98. Will leave it for you to figure out. :)
ghemical-2.98 should now be fixed, except for compilation with the mopac7 use flag. make sure -mopac7 is set in make.conf and it should build and work fine. I'll keep an eye on the mailing lists to see if a fix comes along.
