First merge only gdl-2.24.0: emerge -avO gdl then gdl-python: emerge -avO gdl-python It works for me :)
me, too :) gdl-python-2.19.1-r1 failed with dev-libs/gdl-0.7.11 but compiled fine with dev-libs/gdl-2.24.0 I guess the upgrade path is a bit broken as portage wanted to upgrade gdl-python before gdl and when I tried to update gdl first, it got blocked by gdl-python being too old. Fixed summary, assigned to gnome herd, CCed python herd as well...
(In reply to comment #1) > First merge only gdl-2.24.0: > > emerge -avO gdl > > then gdl-python: > > emerge -avO gdl-python > > It works for me :) > Have tried but got for gdl-python (~amd64): libtool: compile: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I.. -I/usr/include/python2.5 -I/usr/include/libgdl-1.0 -I/usr/include/gtk-2.0 -I/usr/include/libxml2 -I/usr/include/libglade-2.0 -I/usr/lib64/gtk-2.0/include -I/usr/include/atk-1.0 -I/usr/include/cairo -I/usr/include/pango-1.0 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib64/glib-2.0/include -I/usr/include/pixman-1 -I/usr/include/freetype2 -I/usr/include/libpng12 -I/usr/include/pygtk-2.0 -O2 -march=core2 -mtune=core2 -pipe -Wall -fno-strict-aliasing -MT gdl.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/gdl.Tpo -c gdl.c -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/gdl.o gdl.override:9:27: error: gdl/gdl-icons.h: No such file or directory make[2]: *** [gdl.lo] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/wrk/tmp/portage/portage/dev-python/gdl-python-2.19.1/work/gnome-python-extras-2.19.1/gdl' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
I put the blocker in the wrong order, sorry for that, I'll fix that asap.
(In reply to comment #4) > I put the blocker in the wrong order, sorry for that, I'll fix that asap. > Blocking isn't the only problem: #3.
fixed by raising gdl dep, without a bump. Please reopen if this is still causing problems.
(In reply to comment #6) > fixed by raising gdl dep, without a bump. Please reopen if this is still > causing problems. > I don't have sufficient privilege to reopen this bug, but I'm having the same problem as #3. I unmerged gdl and gdl-python, then ran emerge -av gdl, then emerge -av gdl-python, and got the same failure as #3. Could this bug be reopened by someone with sufficient privilege?
I experienced exactly the same error as #3 while updating my system. Due to a blocked package I followed the same procedure as #7.
(In reply to comment #8) > I experienced exactly the same error as #3 while updating my system. Due to a > blocked package I followed the same procedure as #7. > At first I had the same problem but it was due to the fact that gdl-python-2.19.1-r1 was masked by ~x86, so I was actually emerging gdl-pyhton-2.19.1. After unmasking gdl-python the emerge went through perfectly.
Doh, I didn't saw that update. Thank you for posting your solution.
