Description jager 2003-07-19 21:37:26 UTC
after emerge sycn and emerge -u world, system did a portage upgrade to 2.0.48-r5
which appears to conflict with kdebase. emerge stops with error: !!! Error: the
=kde-base/kdebase-3.1-r1 package conflicts with this package and both can't be
installed on the same system together. this is immediately after portage in the
emerge sequence, and emerge will go no further.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

root@melkor root # emerge -u world
Calculating world dependencies ...done!

!!! Error: the =kde-base/kdebase-3.1-r1 package conflicts with this package and
both can't be installed on the same system together.

Actual Results:
emerge will no longer update world.

Expected Results:
updated my system to latest stable software :)

root@melkor root # emerge info
Portage 2.0.48-r5 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.2.2, glibc-2.3.1-r4)
