Please find attached a new dosemu-1.1.3 ebuild. There are no compiletime / runtime dependancies beyond a basic emerge-system install, and the script supports additional X / SVGAlib compiletime options through standard USE variables This ebuild will download and configure dosemu 1.1.3, along with a bootable image of freedos. The ebuild itself bypasses the usual dosemu installation script, by setting the executable bit to ./base-configure and passing cli arguments, this is all documented in the .ebuild :) `Once configured, dosemu is installed for all users, along with the freedos image (dosemu, or xdosemu) I added this package to my portage tree at app-emulation/dosemu in accordance with the current gentoo emulation locations. Many Thanks. Phill

Created attachment 845 [details] dosemu-1.1.3-r2.ebuild -NEW PACKAGE (Trivial fix to earlier post) Changed source URI to download dosemu-1.1.3 source + freedos image accidentally missed from previous version. This one has been tested on a virgin install, with various combinations of USE X / SVGA Works fine on several systems Respectfully Submitted. Phillip L (AITD)
Created attachment 857 [details] dosemu-1.1.3-r2.ebuild (use this one... more fixes!) beta-tested in #gentoo, positive results After some beta-testing in #gentoo on irc.openprojects.net, a small bug relating to the install image location was discovered, this was fixed and tested by several people (mainly thouse wishing to run legacy dos games / abandonware!) Looks good At last, bug free and respectfully submitted (again) Phillip Lemon (AITD)
Tne ebuild doesn't appear to install the binary files... from the portage/image directory to the live filesystem... I'm not quite sure what is wrong.
Committed to app-emulation/ Great work :)
