In the ChangeLog of Portage: # See the gentoo-src Portage ChangeLog for up-to-date release information: # http://cvs.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gentoo-src/portage/ChangeLog?rev=HEAD&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup I think cvs.gentoo.org should be www.gentoo.org. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
change the 'cvs.gentoo.org' to 'www.gentoo.org'
This has kind of bugged me for awhile. Shouldn't the ChangeLog information be maintained in this file directly? What chaos would ensue if all projects just included a link in the file rather than change information? Tsk, tsk. Portage should set a better example... ;-)
the ChangeLog is much too unwieldy for it ... basically waste of space on rsync ... most ppl dont read the ChangeLog, and if *you* really want to, then goto the URL i fixed the url in cvs
The new URL does not work: An Exception Has Occurred ViewCVS Messages /cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gentoo-src/portage/ChangeLog: unknown location HTTP Response Status 404 Not Found Python Traceback Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/httpd/viewcvs/lib/viewcvs.py", line 3045, in main run_viewcvs(server) File "/home/httpd/viewcvs/lib/viewcvs.py", line 3006, in run_viewcvs % request.url, '404 Not Found') ViewCVSException: 404 Not Found: /cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gentoo-src/portage/ChangeLog: unknown location Powered by www@gentoo.org ViewCVS 1.0-dev
refresh, sometimes some of the servers mess up viewcvs is on a distributed web system now
Still the same problem.
