build log for ati-drivers-8.552
Comment 3 Severin Holzer-Graf 2008-11-22 14:04:26 UTC
You have to enable UNUSED_SYMBOLS in your kernel config in Kernel Hacking, because the ATI driver needs it.
Comment 4 Juha Louhiranta 2008-11-22 16:04:51 UTC
CONFIG_PCI_LEGACY=y has to be set because this provides needed pci_find_slot() and pci_find_device().

In menuconfig:
Bus options (PCI etc.) -> Enable deprecated pci_find_* API
Comment 5 Jeffrey Gardner (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-02-03 06:41:19 UTC
Fixed in newer ebuilds.

I just tried to merge ati-drivers 8.573-r1 (the newest ebuild available at this time) on gentoo-sources 2.6.27-gentoo-r7 and got this EXACT bug. Are you sure it's fixed?
