aaron: could you comment on this? can mailutils use libsieve? thanks.
The two libsieves are completely different. I have not been in touch with the GNU mailutils people. I'll get in touch and see what we can work out for library names.
that's what i thought. so this is a file collision, rather than usage of a bundled library.
i've added a blocker for net-mail/mailutils to the libsieve ebuilds as a temporary workaround while we sort this out. somebody should do the same for net-mail/mailutils. aaron: any news on this?
+ 16 Mar 2009; Thilo Bangert <bangert@gentoo.org> mailutils-0.6-r3.ebuild, + mailutils-1.2.ebuild: + add blocker on mail-filter/libsieve due to filecollision - bug #248097 +
mailutils-2.1 installs these instead: /usr/lib/libmu_sieve.so.2.1.2 /usr/lib/libmu_sieve.la /usr/lib/libmu_sieve.
cool - i relaxed the blocker on mailutils for libsieve...
