I wrote an ebuild for offlineimap some months ago, circa version 3.99.7 . I see someone else contributed an ebuild for 3.99.17, but a) that version is buggy, b) the ebuild seems a bit odd - there is a fairly custom install process for this package. I have updated my version of the ebuild to 4.0.0, and am including it for your consideration. (I also published it on the offlineimap mailing list). Note that the 4.0.0 tarball as released upstream has an internal naming change - just bumping the version on the .ebuild file will NOT work. I've just tested this ebuild and it seems to work OK. There was a typo in the DEPEND section which I have corrected in the attached ebuild. I have also added the einfo section from the ebuild currently in portage, since the ebuild listed here only has information for existing users as opposed to new users.
