Bug 248006 – app-crypt/qca: fails with forced --as-needed

I'm reporting this bug because the package in summary fails to build when forcing --as-needed on through spec files (check out http://blog.flameeyes.eu/2008/11/14/problems-and-mitigation-strategies-for-as-needed for details).

this seems to work now with qca-2.0.0-r2 (latest stable) and qca-2.0.2-r1 (latest testing) with psi 0.12.1 (latest stable)

Have you actually tried with --as-needed forced through gcc spec files or just with "-Wl,--as-needed" in LDFLAGS?
