Not sure if anyone besides me is interested (especially 'cause its only a beta release), but I did up an ebuild for Eclipse 3.0 Milestone 2, and I thought I'd put it here. It's based (by copying and editing) the ebuild for eclise-sdk-bin-2.2.1. Accordingly, I've called it eclipse-sdk-bin-3.0_pre2 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: This ebuild is purely a binary distribution; I haven't tried building it from source, so I don't have an ebuild for that.

btw.: Shouldn't have the eclipse-sdk(-bin) ebuilds a dependency like !eclipse-sdk/eclipse-sdk / !eclipse-sdk/eclipse-sdk-bin ?
Probably; I just copied the existing one.
We're dropping the -bin releases, so if you have the time, see if you can't adapt eclipse-sdk-2.1.1 to build 3.0 from sources.
We've stopped committing binary-only ebuilds for eclipse, as it's finally possible to build it properly from sources. Could you have a peek at dev-util/eclipse-sdk-2.1.1.ebuild and see if can't be adapted to build eclipse from source code?
It appears that this ebuild does not build eclipse from sources. Could you please have a peek at dev-util/eclipse-sdk-2.1.1 and see if you can't modify it to build the 3.0 series (M4 is out) entirely from sources, then reopen this?
More info.
Obviously, we have 3.0 and even 3.1 building from source code now, so I consider this matter closed.
