Here it is..
Created attachment 14662 [details] the ebuild
a couple of things here. please provide the correct SRC_URI (i think you mean 'sources' instead of 'stable') and uncomment the line. new ebuilds should be marked unstable/testing (ie ~x86 ~ppc) etc. check the license, ive got a feeling it's gpl-2 ? i seriously doubt this package has no dependencies either (most likely you've got all it's dependencies installed, but they are required to be listed for this package, otherwise fresh installs will fail). also, the src_compile() function is redundant, portage provides this facility for you in simple cases (such as this one). and lastly, check for USE variables etc (a good way to do that is to look at the Makefile.in's or the output of ./configure --help is usually the most useful), and if there really aren't any possible USE variables, include IUSE="" Good luck, Mike.
You know.. this is an updated version of an already existing package.. (gnome-extras/gnome-audio) .. all I did was to inherit the gnome2 functions, which makes SRC_URI obsolete. Also, this package only contains .wav files, so I can't understand which packages it should be dependant upon. (the make install just moves them to the proper location) Try to install the ebuild.
Ahh, I missed the gnome.org eclass which provides the SRC_URI, correct. I'll take this as a request for a version bump to 2.0.0 then?
i dunno, i havent looked at it yet. But is this a plain version bump, no internal changes from the 1.4 to 2.0 version that would need it to be slotted ?
there's no need to slot this since the its just a package of wav files that are common for both gnome 1.4 and gnome 2.x. i've bumped the one in portage to 2.0.0
