When you try to emerge gentoo-artwork with the USE="kde" flag set, et will attempt to install kde-base and qt. the install does not appear to directly require either of these, and I see no purpose to have this dependancy. The use check on whether to install the theme is appropriate, however. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge unmerge kde-base 2. USE="kde' emerge gentoo-artwork Actual Results: it tried to reinstall kde-base Expected Results: I don't see any reason to install kde-base now if the user doesn't want it yet. Another idea is that not just kde can use kde themes. Perhaps a virtual/kde is in order? can't emerge info currently
Created attachment 15102 [details] Updated ebuild to correct for case where user doesn't want kde but may want kde themes. really no need to install kde libraries for graphics.
