Hi,

It would be nice to include the app-admin/mbr package on the installation CDs. This tool is extremely helpful when trying to install gentoo on a fresh HDD or fix a broken system.

The installcd is not a rescue CD and it's not required for install. Sorry.

I can recommend the System Rescue CD, which is a Gentoo-based LiveCD geared towards such purposes. And it includes app-admin/mbr.
