Description Gordon Malm (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-11-10 00:52:49 UTC
I'd like to request xml-mapping be added to portage.

Just copying/renaming dev-ruby/xml-simple's ebuild to my overlay and updating the DESCRIPTION and HOMEPAGE worked for me.

Thanks!

Uhh I admit I didn't follow new devs mail lately but if you got gentoo-x86 access I think Ruby herd would be glad if you maintained it yourself :P
[At least, that's what I've been following myself for the stuff I need ebuilds for :P]

Thanks Flameeyes. ;) Is that true ruby@ ? I'd prefer not to maintain it as I know diddly about ruby, I just needed it for runtime stuff. Also, I didn't think it would be proper to go injecting an ebuild into a herd's category.

It's true to the extend that you should know what you are doing. :-)

I've just added xml-mapping to CVS. Keyworded only for ~amd64 since that's what I tested on. Feel free to keyword it for another arch if you are using it there.
